Treia started a raw diet two weeks ago along with my two cats. The cats are great but Treia started showing symptoms of a chicken allergy and was throwing up everyday for a week and her poop was like water. At the two week mark I saw her ears were bright red, and hot to the touch so I stopped the raw and put her back on her old food which was chicken, she wouldn’t touch it, she’s on beef dog food for now and is a lot better. Does this sound like a chicken allergy?

While an allergy is possible, bacteria in the raw diet could also cause the GI symptoms. The ear issues could be an allergy but if she was on a chicken based diet prior to the raw diet and did fine on it, then that seems less likely. If Treia is doing well on her beef based food, I recommend to stick with it. if she gets sick again, have her examined by the veterinarian. I hope this helps.
