My pet is lethargic and won't eat. Is he sick or just tired?

Pet's info: Reptile | Aquatic Turtle | Male | unneutered | 6 years and 5 months old | 5 lbs

Batman won't eat anything and he doesn't appear sick he just seems tired all of the time.Should I be worried?I checked the water and everything else do you think that maybe it's because of winter?

Poor Batman. I suspect that he is sick if he won't eat anything and is lethargic. Not eating and lethargy are both signs of illness. I'm quite concerned about him, and thinks he needs to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

Batman likely does not feel good and could even be in pain. Just like people, there are many conditions that can make pets feel sick. This could range from bacterial over growth to intestinal blockage. Also like us, diseases are best addressed early and this may result in a better prognosis. I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian today. The doctor will need to learn the underlying cause in order to give appropriate treatment. Bring in a stool sample in case the doctor needs to test it. Batman could even have something like a broken bone or a back injury. I hope Batman starts feeling better quickly! Cat was administered 1/2 tablet Cerenia anti-nausea medication as instructed by vet. Cat quickly became lethargic and continues to sleep five hours later. I will discontinue the Cerenia, but does this situation warrant a trip to the emergency vet?
Cats can sleep a lot when they are not feeling well. I'd keep an eye on Batman for now. If he's still this lethargic in the morning, isn't eating or drinking, or is vomiting, take him back into the vet right away. Best of luck.

These symptoms that you are describing are very concerning to me, and I would have Bowie seen by a vet immediately. He could be in pain or he could have eaten something toxic causing his symptoms. I recommended having him evaluated by a vet now to diagnose what is causing these symptoms so he can be treated. My dog is very lethargic lately. He is not eating and is not moving almost at all.
These are signs that he is either in a great deal of pain, or is very sick. There could be many possible causes of this, so it's difficult to say what exactly this means, or how easily this can be treated, but it's worth a visit to the vet. The vet will be able to help narrow-down the cause and at-least give treatment to make him feel better. Given his current condition, I reccomend he go to the vet within the next 24 hours. I hope that helps and Bobby gets better soon.

Dog hasn't eaten in 3 days and looks lethargic
So sorry that he is sick. It is very concerning that he hasn't eaten in 3 days and is lethargic. There are many possible diseases that could cause those signs including infections, parasites, pancreatitis, gastritis/enteritis, kidney disease, liver disease, endocrine diseases, etc. You could offer him a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice and see if you can get him to eat. If he won't eat and is still lethargic then he should be examined by a vet as soon as possible for a work up. Your vet can run bloodwork and take x-rays to help diagnose and treat. Hope he feels better soon.

These are general signs of disease, unfortunately almost any disease can manifest itself with those symptoms and for this reason I won't be able to give you an idea of what could be causing this. I would recommend taking Tonyt to the vet ASAP for a physical examination, if nothing obvious is found he will probably need a blood test or an ultrasound and the vet will then treat him according to the results.

Poor Alvin - it sounds like he is not doing well, especially if he is lethargic and moving very little. These signs are very nonspecific and can be caused by a number of things, from an injury to a serious infection. I recommend having him seen by a vet right away. It is likely best to have him seen in an emergency clinic, most towns/cities have at least one that is open 24 hours/day. I hope all is well!

Poor Buddy! It definitely sounds like he isn't feeling well. Lethargy and not eating are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost any type of illness, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. Because of this, I would recommend taking him to the vet for an exam. He/she can do blood work, x-rays, or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate treatment.

I have a 4 month old kitten who up until two days ago was very playful and active but over the last two days he is lethargic and he is not eating much
It sounds like he is getting sick. Without additional clinical signs it is hard to say exactly what is causing his lethargy and decreased appetite but he could be starting with a respiratory virus or a gastrointestinal virus. He could also have parasites that need to be treated. If it continues than he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can run lab work to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. If he is unvaccinated, please discuss a vaccine plan with your vet once he has recovered from this illness.
