Great question! I really like the CET brand of dental pet products. I would get Voodoo a pet toothbrush and toothpaste, and brush her teeth daily. You can also get her Dentasticks as a daily treat.

Unfortunately the only way to really treat this issue is with dental scaling and polish performed by your veterinarian. There are some products which may offer a little help including an oral hygeinr rinse by CET http://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=24579, or the CET toothpaste if your dog will tolerate this, but really we would need to evaluate the teeth and see if there are underlying causes for the gingivitis.

I would get a dog toothbrush and toothpaste from the pet store, and brush Sweet Pea's teeth daily. There are specific dental chews you can get as well to help with the gingivitis, and I would recommend feeding her a dry dog food which help breaks up plaque. You can also get a oral canine mouth wash which will help break up plaque and clean her mouth. It is important to have her mouth examined by a vet, however, as gingivitis can't be cured at home. Gingivitis can be very severe and will require a dental cleaning, scaling, and polishing. Teeth can be loosened by deep pockets created by gingivitis, and may need to be removed if they are too loose.
