Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 11 years and 6 months old

Hi,while playing on a cat tree my cat jumped bad and started limping for a while, after few hours walked normal but occasionally growling when moves, after few days there're no symptoms, she's playful, walking, climbing but when other of my cats goes near her and when I hug her she growls,I tried to touch all the places and found her left hip hurts when it's touched, she's very fluffy and hard to reach the skin. She's very afraid of all people,on her age I don't want to stress her with a vet visit

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Masha. It sounds like she is doing better, but still painful from her fall. It is best for her to see her veterinarian as x-rays may be needed. She should be prescribed pain medication to make her more comfortable as well. If you do not want to take her in, you will need to monitor her at home. Do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as can be toxic cats. I hope this information helps!
