My bird is blind and has a white eye. Can I treat it without a vet?

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female | 7 years and 1 month old

So my bird, Keasha, is blind. Recently i just noticed that her right eye is fully white. Is there any way of treating this, my parents wont let me go to the vet with her that is why im writing here. Her left eye is also full black.

Hello. It looks like Keasha has a catarac. Unfortunately, no treatments are generally feasable or even very rewarding. Just make sure she is never startled & that she is receiving the best diet possible for her. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
