Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 7 months and 8 days old | 35 lbs

Hi I’ve taken my dog to the vet multiple times and they keep saying it’s an ant bite but I don’t feel it is, id really like another opinion on this bald spot since he’s getting one on his face too and the creams they have gave me don’t work :( he’s a mini bull terrier

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Kentucky. Has he had skin scrapes to look for a mite known as Demodex? This is my concern given his age and breed. It is a mite that lives in the hair follicles normally, but puppies can experience an overgrowth. I hope this information helps!
