You can try feeding Duke a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If this doesn't help, have him seen by a vet.

I am so sorry to hear that Benji is experiencing an increase in flatulance, as I am sure this is unpleasant for you. With no other clinical signs present at the moment, I would suggest that Benji has eaten something that doesn't agree with him. Perhaps a days worth of bland meals to help his intestines recover would be helpful. Boiled boneless chicken breast and white steamed rice are a good option, as well as prescription bland diet dog foods. I hope that this was a useful answer and that Benji returns to normal soon.

I have a White Staff, he passes wind at least once every 20 minutes & the smell is foul!! I have tried to change his diet but still the same! Please help...
Change his diet to boiled chicken and rice a GI formukabsince it is easy to digest. You can also add a probiotic to the food to help replenish the good, normal bacteria. If this does not help you can try gas x. If it continues then I would consider a check for parasites and blood work to make sure oral medicine is it needed

My Great Dane are a pork bone now he has diarrhea and won’t eat
Withhold food for 12 hours then offer him boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food. If he still has diarrhea or is not eating, take him to the vet to get treatment.

Maybe Zuma ate something outside or someone gave him some human food causing the gas. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If this does not help with the gas, have him seen by a vet.

You are welcome! I think it would be a great idea to try some chicken and rice for a few days to see if that helps with the gas. Give him boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice for a few days, then slowly add back in his normal diet. Exercise would be good as well. Hope this helps :-)

I have a great Dane 8 years old and for the past months she has been being sick most nights always at night. She has been to the vets several times ,, they have scanned her stomach but can only find a build up of gas , they also found a heart minor.
I am so sorry to hear that your pet is so ill. Build up of gas in the stomach is often times caused by either bacteria sitting in the gut (if the intestines are not distended), or due to a foreign body obstruction or partial obstruction (if the intesitnes are also distended). If she has an underling heart condition, this further complicates things. In order to best help you we will need to go over the details of Elsie's condition to get all the necessary information and details of her treatment. This is a very complicated matter and we want you to get all the information needed to make an educated decision moving forward with Elsie. Also I am not sure what symptoms she currently has because you only mentioned that she is "sick". This can mean a lot of different things and should be clarified before recommending any additional treatments for her. I hope that your pet Elsie is able to stabilize her condition soon and we really hope to hear back from you for a one-on-one session.

This is a great question! I can give you a home remedy for Butcher to see if that helps his diarrhea and gas. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. I have Bentley on a high protein grain free diet. I swapped him to this diet because he has gas on the extreme level. But this diet isn’t working. What can I do?
Hi there. I suggest you use a probiotic for Bentley. Fortiflora is my favorite but you can use any probiotic made for dogs (no human products or dairy). I would give it daily for one month to see if there are any changes. The probiotic adds "good bacteria" to his intestinal tract that may quiet the gas. So, I suggest you speak to your vet about deworming him. Finally, diet recommendations for dogs with gas is a diet that is highly digestible with low fibre and low fat content.
