My dog has low platelets and is limping. Are they connected?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 8 months and 28 days old | 30 lbs

My dog has low platelets count in blood..he is limping on back leg...limping is the cause of low platelets

I wouldn't say limping is the cause of low platelets. Sometimes platelets clump together and the machine cannot appropriately read it. I recommend having your veterinarian evaluate a blood smear to make sure they are low. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
