My wife's dog Daisy has lost her appetite and had lost a lot of weight all Daisy wants to do is drink water but she will drink it until she vomits. She will not eat and when she does it's only a little

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Daisy. She needs to see a veterinarian. There is typically a reason when a do begins to drink excessively. She will likely need to have blood and urine testing. She could have diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease or an adrenal gland disorder or even cancer. Based on these results, treatment can hopefully be started to help her feel better. I hope this information helps!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Continue to monitor Daisy. Be sure that there is nothing that she has gotten into - medications, poisons, cleaners, trash, etc. If it is hot where you are, that may be enough to have Daisy less active than usual. But if she continues to act lethargic or weak, I recommend having her seen tomorrow. There are many illnesses that can cause dogs to be weak, so after an exam, the veterinarian may recommend bloodwork or other diagnostic testing. I hope Daisy is back to normal soon.
