My old cat has bloody diarrhea. Is it cancer? When to see a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 14 years and 6 months old | 8 lbs

My older Cat has problems with her G.I. And is outputing diarhea and blood. Should I assume Cancer and put her down?

You should never assume cancer. Have Cali physically examined by your veterinarian to rule out other causes (parasites, diet, allergies, etc.) before deciding on euthanasia. This may require lab work (CBC, chemistry panel, thyroid panel, urinalysis, fecal exam) and/or imaging (x-rays, endoscopy). Once you have a diagnosis, you can discuss treatment options with your vet. In the meantime, consider a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts.
