How do I stop my dog from eating his fur? And how do I take care of him having a hairball? He starts coughing like a cat does when they have a hair ball. He is a havenese/Pomeranian mix

The best thing you can do is brush Chewy every day to remove the fur before he eats it. Dogs to not normally get hairballs. They can get reverse sneezing but I don't know which is happening to Chewy. I recommend to record an episode on your phone and then show it to the vet. This will give you a better idea of what is happening and what to do next. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
