Pink bump on cat's belly with bare skin: Is it a wart or scab?

Hi there, I found a small white-pink bump on my cats belly with a little bare patch of skin. Not sure if it's just a wart. They are currently dealing with fleas which i have been treating, so could it also be a flea scab?

From the photo this looks like a normal nipple. Male cats have nipples like females but they are small like in the photo. Usually four or so on each side. If that isn’t a nipple then it’s a benign wart that doesn’t need any treatment. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Melow.

I have a 4 yr old female cat that I found a lump on her lower stomach roughly half dollar sized and hard. Now today when I was looking at the lumb it now has a big open sore on it. I have been looking at images online, but can't seem to figure it out
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. This is likely from her mammary gland. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Dahlia evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question. It looks like it could be from an injury if there is a scab on it. A scab means it's healing, so I would just keep an eye on it for now. If you see signs of infection, it gets bigger, it starts to bother her, or it doesn't appear to be healing, then have Fatina seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

There's a little scabby on my cat's belly. its near one of her nipples. what is this? is this kind of scabies? and how do i cure it? thanks
Hello, sorry to hear about your cat. The picture is a little blurry. It could be a scab from a small laceration that will heal on its own and you do not have to do anything about it. A single scab is not consistent with scabies, although, the only way to rule out scabies is by looking for it under a microscope. However, if there was scabies you see it more around the face, ears, and arms of cats. Make sure that Pussy has adequate, monthly flea control especially if she is scratching around her belly and tail/rump area. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hi. So my cat has this bump on his tummy and I'm afraid it could be something serious. Is doesn't bother him when I touch it. There are no other bumps. It's not very big but I am concerned.

I saw this on my cat’s lower stomach. Is it something I should be concerned about? It looks slightly scabby.
Hello. I am so sorry for your worries about Eartha Catt ( great name!!! ). It is very hard to tell what this might be from just a picture. It could be from a local irritation that caused her to abrade the skin, or just some other kind of dermatitis. Watch her to see if she is licking the area in a constant manner, or if the area seems to be getting bigger. I can't recommend putting anything on the skin because she will just lick it off, but you can try just dabbing the skin with a antiseptic like povidone iodine. You can get this at any pharmacy in the wound care section. Just use a small amount 2-3 times a day & see how the area does. If any additional redness or irritation develops, stop the povidone & please see your veterinarian at your earliest convenience. Thanks for contacting Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. Based on its location, this could also be a mammary gland tumor which in most cases are malignant. This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. Hello there, Thanks for the good photo. If it is a small minor wound like a pimple or scratch, it should be mostly healed within a week of forming. If its been present for longer than that or is worsening, I would be more concerned that it is the start of an infection or growth that would benefit from being seen by her veterinarian. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This looks like it may be the nipple and not a mass. She may be licking due to allergies. It really comes down to figuring out what is causing her allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). If that does not seem to be th

I just noticed that my cat has a white bump on her head, it kinda looks like a skin tag!! It’s tiny, at first I thought it was a scab!! It moves with the skin and is not attached!! She’s 4 years old!! What could it be?
