Puppy has pimple-like bumps on stomach/genitals. Should I worry?

I have a 5 week old puppy. We just moved to our new apartment several days ago and today i noticed these pimple like bumps around her genital area and stomach.one photo is taken on aug 10 from when she didnt have this. should I be concerned?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Neela and for providing pictures, they are very helpful. It looks like she may have puppy pyoderma, which is a skin infection. The skin of the puppy is quite sensitive, and it can be common for them to get this skin infection around the genital area and stomach. This does need to be treated by a vet, she needs antibiotics, so I recommend you make an appointment for her to see her vet this week to get it treated. I hope this helps!

my dog 3 month old has a single white pimple in belly area. why is it and what can i do ? i gave my dog 3 pills of vitamin e(400IU)for humans , because of dry skin .
Hi, thabks for using Boop by Petco! It could be a pustule (bacterial infection). I don’t think I’d get too worried about one single pustule if he is otherwise fine (not scratching or licking). If he develops more he should see your vet. Puppy pyoderma on the belly isn’t uncommon. Have a good day!

I noticed this raised red bump/lump on my dogs lower stomach. It oozes puss when gently squeezed.
Was there supposed to be a picture attached to this? Puppies tend to get skin infections pretty commonly. We even refer to it as “puppy pyoderma”. If it just looks like a pimple then that is likely what it is. If it is much larger or if there are several on the body then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian to determine if he needs antibiotics. Otherwise bathing in an antimicrobial shampoo such as chlorhexidine or salicylic acid can be helpful. These can be found in the dandruff section of any human shampoo aisle. Our dog has gotten little white rash looking bumps on his stomach, a little over 2 months old and now it's spread to his sisters
This is called puppy pyoderma. It’s a mild skin infection that puppies often get. You can bathe the area with anti bacterial shampoo every few days and that should clear it up. If it is getting worse or the puppies seem sick then bring them in for a exam and treatment. They may need oral antibiotics. Also make sure the bedding is soft and dry. My dog currently has a very mild case of a rash on her stomach. She is an 11 week old puppy I have thoughts that might be impetigo.

Their red and white bumps all over her body.....not itching,
Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! From what I can tell via your photo, this looks a lot like puppy pyoderma-a very common condition among young dogs. Essentially, these are "pimples" for puppies and usually caused by staph bacteria. I will usually try to rule out any underlying flea problem resulting in pustules, etc when I see these patients. If I see nothing else of concern I will usually prescribe antibiotics for 10-14 days at which point the breakout has usually cleared up. I would recommend seeing your vet to do these things as well-Lala will be much more comfortable without pustules. I hope this helps!

My female 12 week old puppy has a few bumps on her privates ? What are they
Thank you for providing a picture of Floki's bumps, it's really helpful for my answer to your question. This is likely a condition called puppy pyoderma. Pyoderma is usually caused by Staphylococcus bacteria (or Staph for short). Typically, this condition will resolve on its own . If there is no improvement in the rash in the next 3-5 days, or if she is itchy or painful or having any other symptoms such as excessive licking, then I would recommend having her examined by a vet as she may need oral antibiotics or other prescription medication to treat the problem. A small e-collar (cone) can be used to prevent licking until she sees the doctor. I hope this helps!

I suspect that these are little bumps are due to a bacterial infection (pyoderma). Puppies commonly get this on their bellies and they usually go away with good cleaning. I recommend cleaning the belly with a medicated wipe or shampoo (can get this at the pet store) once a day until the bump(s) are gone. If it seems to get worse, then you'll want to take Mia into the vet for an exam.
