Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 10 years and 6 months old | 12 lbs
Romeo Shih Tzu 12 pounds and is 10 years old had his Rabies vaccine yesterday. They’re spreading out all 4 core vaccines over few weeks. He seems be ok so far after Rabies shot. How long can it take for a adverse reaction to the Rabies vaccine? I’m hoping he doesn’t and doesn’t get diarrhea like last year. That’s why we are spreading it out and changed his flea med

Romeo is absolutely adorable! Severe reactions to a vaccine will generally occur very quickly after the vaccine is given, but it can take up to 48 hours for other reactions to occur. I would watch him over the next day, but if it's been more than 24 hours since his vaccine and he's doing fine, he likely is ok and you won't see any reaction. I hope this helps!
