My dog has a flat, peeling spot under his nose. What could it be?

Hi, I have a 10 year old German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix. Today I noticed this spot under his nose. It is flat and peeling a little. Other than this spot he seems to be normal. What could this be? Thanks!

Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. It is very difficult to say what this lesion could be. It almost looks like he scraped it causing a superficial wound. I suggest you try using this topical wound spray on the lesion 3-4 times per day for about a week to 10 days. If there is no improvement after that time then I think you should take Marco to your vet for an exam.
