My cat is constipated while on mirtazapine. Can I give her cisapride?

Hi, I've been giving my cat mirtazapine for the last 10 days. She has been eating ok but now she is constipated for the last 4 days. I have some cisapride here, and I was wondering if I can give her some of that, or switch from the mirataz to the cisapride at least until she has a bowel movement. By the way, both of these medications are transdermal, thank you!

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. There are no known contraindications with using mirtazapine and cisapride together but remember, all cats react differently to medications so if you notice any abnormal issues then stop the medications immediately and call your vet. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
