Can I give my 40lb dog with separation anxiety some olanzapine (and how much?) before I leave when I’m going away for a few hours? It would only be occasional every couple weeks or so. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 19 days old | 40 lbs

There is no FDA-approved use for atypical antipsychotics such as olanzapine in veterinary medicine although they have been used to treat dogs with aggression. If you need something to give Spark occasionally for separation anxiety you need to speak to your vet about getting him something. Olanzapine is not recommended.
