Why is my dog's swollen toe not improving after vet treatment?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 70 lbs

My dog has had a swollen two for a little over 3 weeks and ive taken him to a vet and been given medicine. The medicine hasn't helped. He isn't in any obvious pain but i would like another opinion as to what this might be

That looks like a nail bed infection (either bacterial or fungal or both). Was the medication given an oral skin antibiotic? Diesel may also benefit from a topical ointment with similar ingredients to otomax for ear infections, a medicated shampoo/mousse to use daily and an e-collar to prevent licking. Definitely let your vet the swelling is still there! Best wishes!
