Is pink skin normal after cat's Advantage Multi flea treatment?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 12 lbs

I tried a new flea medication for my cat. It’s advantage multi 18. It has a lot more liquid then the revolution plus I’ve always used on her and never had any issues. I noticed that her skin is a little bit more pink but thinking it’s just because the area was soaked more than usual comparing to previous medication. She’s not scratching at it or anything but am wondering if this is a normal reaction ?

Hello. Mild skin reactions are not unusual with the topical insecticides. As long as Orien does not seem bothered by this, & the skin does not turn an angry red, nor any disruption of the skin or fur occur, she should be just fine. Thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
