Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 years and 7 months old | 8 lbs
Hi, My cat is meowing a lot and her belly is trembling like spasms (almost like she is having trouble with breathing but not significantly). She’s vocalizing a lot more than usual (meows and also a few purrs), but her eyes seem fine, she’s walking around and she recently ate and just went to the litter box. Should we go to urgent care or is this normal? She also seems to in heat and maybe a bit lonely.

This is likely normal behavior if she is in heat. It is really recommended that she be spayed if she is not a breeding animal. Cats that are not spayed are at risk of developing mammary (breast) cancer and/or pyometra (a life-threatening uterine infection). The more times they go through a heat cycle the chance rises. You know her best and if you are worried I suggest you take her to urgent care. Since I cannot examine her in person I can only guess at to what is going on. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
