Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 9 years and 1 month old | 35 lbs
My dog recently had "significant" weight loss. (We assumed depression because I had to stay with my dad 3 mo. Took to vet, no underlying condition except possible bladder inf. Gave amox? Now he is skin and bones but has a VERY large stomach, urinating in house, vomits, and his back legs are swollen 4x the size with fluid! We have an appt mon (different vet), but I wanted professional opinion beforehand. Suspected roundworms, treated with otc med. No worms in stool visible to me. Please help?!

I'm so sorry that Cash is not doing well. His clinical condition is very concerning and makes me worry about a significant chronic disease such as heart failure, protein-losing diseases, or a cancerous process. I highly recommend Cash be evaluated at a veterinary emergency hospital with internal medicine capabilities. He likely needs x-rays and bloodwork alongside a potential abdominal ultrasound or echocardiogram.
