My puppy has a skin lump. Could it be cancer, or is it benign?

Not sure what this could be, or if it needs removed by the vet. My concern is skin cancer but our vet is booked up until 2 weeks out so I wanted to get an opinion sooner than later. Pet's info: Dog | Dogo Argentino | Female | spayed | 5 months and 5 days old | 40 lbs

Hi and thanks for your request. This could be due to a skin tumor (most likely benign called histiocytoma) or a smal inflammatory lump, possily due to an infection. a malignant skin cancer is highly unlikely given the fact that Nala is very young. Disinfection can be provided with saltwater used twice daily. This can wait two weeks for a vet's check up in my opinion.
