My dog swallowed a pill. Was it warfarin or Synulox? Is he in danger?

Hi I am not sure weather my dog has swallowed a 5mg warfarin tablet or synulox tablet as they both looked the same. I thought thdog had dropped it out his mouth when I found it on the floor and gave it to him, then realised it was near where my husband sat at the table and took his warfarin tablet.

While I would certainly recommend calling aspca poison control, I do not believe that 5mg of warfarin exceeds the threshold for a toxic dose based on a 6 kilogram body weight. According to the academy of vet pharmacists, a 5 mg per kg dose is the threshold meaning that about 30 mg is needed to show clinical signs in most cases. However every patient is different and if your dog has any other issues or takes other meds this could be affected. Hope this helps.
