My injured cat won't let me catch her for the vet. What can I do?

Hello i have a female cat, black and white. She appeared at my house almost a year ago. She is very special and She doesnt allow anyone to pet her. When we try to pet She gets away. She let us come very close but not Touch her. Today i noticed She is injuered on the neck and without hair. Só the injury is very big and its not looking good. I wanna help her. But She wont let me to grab her. I want to know if i could give some medicin to out her sleeping for me to catch her and take her to a vet

Hello. Unfortunately, there are no safe and effective medications that you can put in food to tranquilizer a cat. Any safe products must be obtained from a veterinarian as they are prescription. Even these are not reliable because they take hours to take effect and the cat has usually wandered off by then. Your safest option is to purchase a humane trap and try to bait her with some good smelling food. These traps can be purchased as stores like tractor supply. Your local animal control may also loan them out so it’s worth checking with them . Good luck.
