My dog has a small, painless lump on his lip or chin. What is it?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 83 lbs

I've noticed a small lump/pimple on my dog lip/chin. it is quite small and unnoticeable unless I open his mouth. it also doesn't seem to bother him. what could that be? he's 17 months old.

Hello. Small lumps like this can possibly be from some irritation, but there is no way to know definitively without an examination. If it remains small like this, does not bleed or cause any interference in his eating, then you can watch it. If it should get larger or change in any way, do contact your veterinarian.
