My cat had it's first anal gland rupture on the 1 Feb, the wound is healing well until today (20 Feb) I find the same side of anal gland is going to rupture again soon. Nothing really burst out yet though, what i can do to help him feel better and release the fluid now?

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Sorry that Java is having this issue. I suspect the infection did not completely clear and is now coming up again. The only real thing you can do at home is to "hot pack" the anal gland area. You can use a wet, warm wash cloth and hold it to the area for 5 minutes. Do it two to three times per day. If it doesn't help within 24 hours she should go back and see your vet again. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
