My senior dog has a large black scab on her back. Should I worry?

My dog chloe is 14 and she is a golden retriever and has a huge black scab on her back should i be worried?? she seems to not be bothered but im still concerned. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | spayed | 110 lbs

Hello. I am so sorry for your worries with Chloe. If this scab has been there for a while, I would definitely have your veterinarian check this out. It could be an infection, abscess, a burn, dermatitis, or even possibly skin cancer. In an older dog like Chloe, unless there was a recent trauma that might explain this, I would highly recommend having your veterinarian check this out soon.
