My dog ate a large carrot whole but seems fine. Should I do anything?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 years and 3 months old | 16 lbs

my 14 pound yorkie mix is 12 years old. She ate a large piece of carrot and I don't think she chewed much of it. She is in no distress, never choked as it went down and is currently sleeping peacefully. She gets tiny carrot pieces for an occasional treat and tolerates that well. Is there anything I should do?

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. You do not need to do anything. She should be able to digest the carrot without issue. Just monitor her over the next 24-48 hours for any vomiting, lethargy, not eating. If you notice any of those then take her to your vet for an exam.
