My puppy inhaled carpet cleaner. Why is he still retching?

My dog is 4months old hound/lab mix he inhaled 409 carpet cleaner he did have sever drilling and vomited once at 2pm yesterday he is retching still but no more vomiting or drolling but still RETCHING! however he is still eating and drinking fine. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 3 months and 24 days old | 20 lbs

If Pluto is still retching or reacting to being around the cleaner, it would be best to seek veterinary care right away to make sure there aren't any additional issues ongoing such as toxicity or problems from inhalation/ingestion. Thoroughly cleaning any spots on him where he came into contact with the cleaner and keeping him in a well ventilated area is best until you can get to your vet.
