My cat had a seizure. Could stress be the reason, or something else?

can stress cause my cat to have a seizure?

No, stress does not cause seizures by itself. Seizures can be caused by many conditions such as epilepsy, poisoning, electrolyte imbalances, drug ingestion or infections in the central nervous system. I recommend to have Gaz examined by the veterinarian. She will need some blood tests and potentially a fecal exam. Additional diagnostics may be recommended as well.     Hello and thank you for your post! Seizures can manifest in many ways. There are focal seizures or generalized seizures. During focal seizures, you may notice a twitch or abnormal head movement but this typically resolves quickly. A grand mal seizure is typically when the animal is involuntarily convulsing / shaking / tremoring after collapsing.
