Dog ACL surgery recovery: inflamed sores on scar line, what's next?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 6 years and 6 months old | 35 lbs

Hi- my dog had an ACL replacement and ten weeks later still has small wee sores on the scar line- sometimes they look inflamed - they rarely burst- vet gave her antibiotics once….. we’ve visited weekly!!! Ideas please?

Hi and thanks for your request. This presentation looks like a tissue reaction/infection of the underlying implants or some material used during surgery. In the cases an x ray and possibly a bacterial swab to culture possible resistant infections are needed.
