Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 8 years and 6 months old | 12 lbs
Hi. My cat is usually jovial and in the room with me. We were sitting on the couch this morning and I had a small box that I accidentally dropped on the coach next to him (he was sleeping or dosing). I think the corner may have hurt him. Anyway he will not come out from under the bed and it has been 2 hours. I even left for errands for one of the hours and he still won't come out. I tried toys and food. His eyes look okay. Is he scared? I closed the door to the room to make him safe?

Thank you submitting your question regarding Barney. I suspect that he was simply scared by the episode. You seemed to have handled everything appropriately to give him time alone. However, if he is still not back to normal, then I would check him over to ensure that he is not injured. Check him for a wound or an limping. I hope this information helps!
