While it's possible that Dolph may have some folliculitis in the pictured area (basically an infected whisker hair follicle), it's also possible that this lesion could be a benign or malignant mass, a ruptured abscess, or a more superficial skin infection. I realize that's a pretty wide range of possibilities, but the only way to be more certain is with a physical exam and some diagnostic testing. You can try cleaning this area twice a day with an antiseptic cleanser, like Hibiclens or betadine, but be sure to rinse well afterwards. If this lesion is still present in another week or two, or if it gets larger or worse at any point, then Dolph will need to take a trip to his vet for further evaluation. I hope that everything goes well!
