My 8-month-old puppies missed 12-week shots. Do they need boosters?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Treeing Walker Coonhound | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 3 days old | 50 lbs

I raised some walker coon hound pups. I gave them 6 way and 9 way shot but not a shot at 12 weeks. They are now 8 months old. My dad had one of the pups and it recently died. Not sure what from the vet thought maybe parvo. Should I give the pups I have a booster or something.

Unfortunately, it does not sound like the puppies have been appropriately vaccinated. I would suggest having them seen by a veterinarian to have them boostered appropriately and make sure they are on an appropriate vaccine schedule.
