Why does my German Shepherd have unhealthy skin on her snout?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 87 lbs

We just saw this today on our Female German Shepard’s snout. It is only on her right side. We are sad and concerned.

Cahnges to the skin on the nose of a German Shepherd may be a sign of cutaneous Lupus or another skin disease. I would high recommend a veterinary appointment for assessment of the skin as it looks unhealthy and could progress without treatment.
