My male dog has a bulge near his penis and can't pee. What's wrong?

Hello my male Canine seems to Have a bulge next to his penis. He doesn’t seem to be urinating very much it’s just to a trickle or none at all. He is eating just fine and sleeping just fine. should I be concerned?

It looks as though Spencer's abdomen is quite distended in the region of his bladder. The fact that he's urinating very little, if at all, makes me concerned that he could have a urinary obstruction that is preventing him from emptying his bladder. If his bladder is truly this full, there is a risk that it could rupture, which would be life-threatening. I'm glad to hear that he's still eating and sleeping okay, but with his urinary changes and abdominal distention, I do think there is cause for concern. As a result, I'd recommend taking him to your vet right away or an ER if your vet is unable to see him within the next few hours. I hope that everything goes well!
