Thanks for sending the picture of Marty's eye. It's possible that this lesion is a cyst, a benign or malignant mass, inflammation from localized skin issues (e.g. mange, ringworm, infection, etc.), or even something as simple as an insect bite. The only definitive way to determine the cause of this type of lesion is with some diagnostic testing. The good news is that it doesn't look significantly irritated now or the cause of any major concern. You can try using a warm compress over this lesion twice a day for a few days to see if it gets smaller or resolves altogether. However, if the lesion grows more, opens up with any discharge, or seems to cause Marty to be itchy, then it should be checked out by your vet. I hope that everything goes well!

Hi and thanks for sending us the pics regarding Marty. I agree with what written by my colleague Dr. Jones but in my opinion this is more likely to be a inflammatory small lump, meaning that is very likely to be cause either by a very localized skin problem (trauma, infection, insect bite). This would be more likely especially if Marty is less than 5 years old.
