Why is my dog tilting her head, has ear issues and is vomiting?

just this morning my dog has been walking with her head tilted, and she’ll just like stand there and look at us. i’m very worried because jts not like her. she also has a background of ear infections and stomach problems (she will get a little sick and just be very lethargic, and throw up. it will last for a few days and go away)

It could be another ear infection causing the head tilt, especially if Macie has a history of them. I would get her checked out by a vet today for this to get it diagnosed and treated. If she does have another ear infection, the vet can treat it. I hope this helps.

I would be worried about a potential inner ear infection. Other ear infections can progress to inner ear infections which are painful, can result in hearing loss and balance issues. It is possible that the head tilt is the first sign that the balance Centers are being affected. I would advise taking Dahlia back in to the vet.

my dogs head is turned to the left suddenly and she has some pain I was away for 3 hours and came home to this sudden change in her. She ended up just lying down in an unusual place but where no one will bother her basically.
A head tilt can be a sign of various things such as ear infection, vestibular syndrome (a little bit like a stroke but not as serious), neck pain or a brain issue. Have a look at her eyes if they are moving oddly it is likely vestibular or a brain issue. If not ear infection or neck pain is more likely. It would be best to get her checked out as for each of these things she will likely need some pain relief or treatment.

It sounds like Libby have a severe ear infection, and I would take her into a vet immediately. This will be very painful to her, and leaving it untreated can lead to hearing loss. The vet can confirm that she does have an ear infection, and can treat her for it. Please take her into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her now.

It sounds as Pelu is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

My dog (medium size and a little over a year old) has been flapping his ears and keeping a slight tilt to his head. I noticed it yesterday a little but today seems persistent. Is there anything I can try at home before taking him to the vet?
Unfortunately no, there isn't anything I would recommend trying at home for Thelonious in this case. It sounds like he could have an ear infection if he's flapping his ears and has a slight tilt to his head. It also sounds like it may be getting worse if you noticed this symptoms have increased since yesterday. An ear infection in a dog can be caused by ear mites, yeast, or bacteria, and the cause of an ear infection has to be diagnosed so the proper medications can be dispensed. This can only be done by a vet. I would give your vet a call today to make an appointment to have him seen within the next day or two. Best of luck!

Oh dear, I'm sorry that Ruby is going through this. Her head tilt and loss of balance typically indicate a problem with the vestibular system, which controls balance near the middle/inner ear. Vestibular problems can be either peripheral or central in origin, and a thorough neurologic exam by you vet will be able to differentiate between the two. This differentiation is important because different conditions can be related to peripheral vs. central vestibular issues, which helps to guide both diagnostic testing, treatment and prognosis. Peripheral vestibular lesions can occur due to inner/middle ear infections, hypothyroidism, geriatric dog idiopathic vestibular syndrome, head injury or use of aminoglycoside therapy. In general, these lesions have a better overall prognosis. Central vestibular lesions can be caused by brain tumors, viruses (distemper or rabies), fungal infections, blood clots or hemorrhage into the brain. My dog is 88-year-old rescue dog and I'm wondering if he's OK. His head is slightly shifted and he keeps shaking his head. I'm wondering if this is anything major or nothing to worry about .
It's most likely an ear infection, if the head is tilted it means the infection is already quite severe and deep. You need to bring him to the vet ASAP in order to get treated, he will need antibiotics and ear drops to solve this problem.
