My cat is on chlorambucil. Can other cats get sick and vomit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | neutered | 14 years old | 18 lbs

One of my cats received his first 2 week chlorambucil dose on Wednesday. Yesterday my other 2 cats vomited up food -- odd for them. Could they be affected by the chlorambucil if they use his preferred litterbox or if they groom his head?

If Watson groomed the other cats, it could potentially cause the vomiting. I would have the other two checked out by a vet to be safe, and keep Watson isolated while you are giving him this medication. They shouldn't be affected from using his preferred litter box or by grooming his head, but him licking them can cause problems. I hope this helps.
