My cat has a bald spot & black dots in his armpit. What's wrong?

Hi when i was combing my cat hair i realise he has a bald spot around his armpit area only that area is bald and theres a lot of black dot on it, he is on his fourth dose of flea medication (revolution), checked on his fur all no sign of fleas so was wondering whats that black dot and why is he balding only on that area.

Hi, thank you for using PetCoach. Those black dots are blackheads (clogged pores). It is not typically a serious problem. It is not related to a flea problem. Feline blackheads often result when cats don't groom themselves properly but it could also be from overactive oil glands or certain yeast or bacterial infections. Stress and food allergies can also contribute to this issue. You can try these medicated wipes on the affected area once a day.
