My dog is chewing his butt. Could it be food, allergies, or anal glands?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 65 lbs

my dog has been chewing his butt recently, im not sure why i just want help before i take him to a vet and spend hundreds of dollars and it may not even be something important. i recently changed his dogs food, and we moved in january. im not sure if one of those reasons is why or not.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I suspect Blu has either skin allergy (for example flea-bite allergy) or impacted anal glands. Please, get him seen by your local vets as he likely needs anti-allergic medication and a good quality flea and tick prevention. Also his anal glands should be emptied. Do not worry - this treatment should not be very expensive. Good luck
