My dog is chewing his butt. Could it be food, allergies, or anal glands?

my dog has been chewing his butt recently, im not sure why i just want help before i take him to a vet and spend hundreds of dollars and it may not even be something important. i recently changed his dogs food, and we moved in january. im not sure if one of those reasons is why or not. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 65 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I suspect Blu has either skin allergy (for example flea-bite allergy) or impacted anal glands. Please, get him seen by your local vets as he likely needs anti-allergic medication and a good quality flea and tick prevention. Also his anal glands should be emptied. Do not worry - this treatment should not be very expensive. Good luck
