Hi! My dog is a female shih tzu (5 years old) that had two operations for kidney stones last year. Now we suspect that she’s going to be pregnant as we saw her locked to our other dog. Just want to ask if her pregnancy will be dangerous? What could be our options so her life would not be threatened? Thank you

There are no specific contraindications linked with these operations, even though some adhesions between the uterus and the bladder may be seen. Keep her monitored for any urinary tract signs during pregnancy, but otherwise not much else needs to be done at this stage.
