My dog licked my tretinoin face cream. Should I worry about toxicity?

Hello! My dermatologist recently prescribed me topical trentanoin for my face. I put it on at night and my dogs usually crawl into bed with me in the morning. I’m usually careful not to let them lick my face but I was too slow this morning. She got in two solid licks straight to the nose. I’m assuming it wasn’t enough to hurt her but I wanted to check in.

You are correct in thinking so. She would need to ingest much more in order to be at risk of serious toxicity. At worst, you may see some mild stomach upset if anything at all. A short fast followed by a bland diet for a few days should resolve minor upset.
