Puppy ate ylang ylang massage oil. Why is she reverse hiccuping?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 30 days old | 6.5 lbs

My puppy ingested massaging oil in which contains ylang ylang 1 and 3 oil, lavender oil, safflower oil, sweet almond oil. Her symptoms are just reverse hiccuping. She is 10 months old and 3.3kg.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. These kind of products can be toxic to dogs if ingested in large amounts. Essential oils can produce vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, lack of appetite, nausea and more. However, as the oils you listed are not known to be particularly toxic to dogs I suggest to monitor Tiramius at home for now. If you notice any vomiting, diarrhea or abnormal behavior in the next few hours, you should take your puppy to your local vets for an appointment.
