Is my dog's Cushing's disease blood test timing normal for diagnosis?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 12 years and 2 months old | 22 lbs

MY current Vet wants to do blood tests 1,2, & 4 hours apart for Cushing's Disease- is this normal?? It sounds different. Please let me know- Thank You.

Hi there, Yes, this sounds similar to a typical test for Cushing's disease. The most common test is blood drawn prior to injection, as well as samples taken four and eight hours later. Sometimes, the eight hour sample may not be necessary depending on test results.
