My dog is pregnant. Can she reabsorb puppies close to delivery?

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 10 months old | 47.5 lbs

Im terrified of my female dog reabsorbing her litter. She had an ultrasound at 40 days and found at least 1 pup she is still growing but her belly isnt that big. But there is still development she xrays at 49 days (shes 46 right now. How possible is it for her to reabsorb in those 9 days?

I can understand your concern for your pet Gypsy. Fortunately it is impossible for a pregnant dog to reabsorb her fetus this late in the gestation process. This phenomenon happens before the pups get to get full grown, and often goes unnoticed.
