It could be a sign of a skin infection, possibly caused by bacteria, yeast, or a fungus (ringworm). It doesn't look too bad in the picture, but I can't really say if it's bad or not without seeing Nash in person. I do think it's worth getting checked out by a vet. Give his vet a call in the morning to make him an appointment. Best of luck.

Hi, I cannot be sure what the red bump is. If he has it on both sides of his face, it is where his whiskers are coming in. It is in the right location for that. I would keep an eye on him for more bumps showing up, or if they get bigger. Dogs can get acne too, so it may be just a pimple. I would wait a few days to see if it goes away or gets worse. If it does, you could clean it with a betadine solution a few times a day to see if that brings it down. Good luck, I hope this helps!

My husky has developed black patches on her nose. Her name is Roxy, she is 9.5 yrs.. She takes 1 prednisolone every day for an auto immune issue. These patches have developed in last 2 weeks.. I will include a photo of her before it started. Should I
Yes, I recommend to call your normal veterinarian and ask about either having Roxy examined or send the vet the photos as a starting point. I suspect the black spots represent a bacterial infection, a yeast infection or ringworm (which people can get). Since she is immune suppressed (due to her autoimmune condition) an infection is more likely and she may not be able to fight the infection as normal. Until she is examined, protect the area form rubbing and she may need to wear an elizabethan collar at all times. Also, try to keep her skin in optimal health. You can add in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing her diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. I hope this helps!

Hi good evening may i know what is on the nose of my 3 months old husky?
Sophie is beautiful! The picture is a little far away, but by zooming in, it could be that she has a sore under her nose. She could also have a skin infection in that area. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain, so the best thing to do is take her into the vet on Monday. The vet can diagnose what is causing this skin condition and how best to treat it. My Siberian Husky (2 years old) has a series of cuts or a rash on the top of her snout, she enjoys playing with my cats and I think she may be scratching her. I’ve only noticed it a few days ago. Should I wait or take her to my vet?
This looks like the kind of scratches dogs gets from rubbing their nose under a fence or kennel - I wonder if that's a possibility for Luna. The issue does not look very serious at this point, so I think it would be fine to monitor her. If you're noticing the redness or scratches spreading or if she seems otherwise off, I would schedule a vet appointment. If her nose heals over the next few days, you don't need to do anything. The long question is in the photo section along with a picture of a site on her skin.
Its possible this is a skin infection versus the typical lesions Pheobe gets with her allergies. It could be related to her allergies (they can get worse over time) but they can also be more common in thick coated breeds like huskies. I recommend to call your veterinarian. They may want to examine her again or they may recommend a medicated shampoo or other topical therapy. Then again, since she has thick hair, they may also recommend systemic medications. Ask your vet about any additional supplements, diet changes or antihistamines which may also help. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Please tell me solution of this problem
From what I can tell from the photo, this looks like a skin infection common to puppies called pyoderma. It is similar to acne in humans and some cases are more severe than others. I recommend getting it checked by your vet to make sure it isn't something more serious and she will probably need antibiotics to help her heal fast. Most dogs outgrow it as they get older.

My Husky has something above his eye that isn’t seeming to go away, I was wondering what it is.
That spot on Briggs could be several things including skin mites, ringworm (which humans can get), allergies to something in the environment, food allergy, Zinc responsive dermatosis or endocrine disease. Each one of these problems is detected and addressed differently and I recommend to discuss with your veterinarian which one to start hunting down first. Parasites are often ruled out with an oral medication like Simparica. Food allergy is best ruled out with a diet trial using a hydrolyzed protein. Endocrine diseases are detected with blood work. Environmental allergies are a little more difficult to detect but a response to therapy or a blood test can give an indication. Mites and ringworm are diagnosed by a few easy skin testes. Zinc issues may need a blood test. I recommend to have him examined to get the treatment process started. There are a couple things you can do at home and they can help but they are unlikely to address the underlying cause. You can try adding in an omega 3

What's this on my dog's face
Hi and thanks for your request. This is likely to be a small spot of chin acne, possibly due to a superficial skin infection. I would recommend to keep it clean and disinfect it with hibiclens diluted one in ten with water twice daily for the next week. Lack of improvement or worsening (more spots, itch, pus discharge from the small pimple) should be checked by your local vets.

No, this hair loss does not sound normal and it does not look normal in the picture. Reggie could have a skin infection, fungal infection, or mange among other things causing his hair loss. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain what is going on. He does need to see a vet to have this diagnose and treated. I recommend giving his vet a call now to make him an appointment. Gizmo had developed tiny, acne-ish bumps near his groin. We don't know where they came from but Teddy has had them before and they went away within a couple days. They aren't bothering him at all. Should he get them checked out?
The pictures show a small pustule on the skin. Many times these little spots will resolve on their own, but if it hasn't gotten better in 2 or 3 days since you noticed it, I would recommend a checkup with a vet. Often they need oral antibiotics to clear the infection. You can try an anti-microbial scrub or shampoo, like Dechra MalAcetic Ultra Shampoo or a first-aid chlorhexidine soap.
