What is this lump on my 7-year-old Yorkie? Cyst, wart, or more?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 7 years and 3 months old | 12 lbs

I'm wondering if this is a sebaceous cyst, wart, or something more. My fur baby is a 7 year old Yorkie and has had this 2-3 weeks now. He doesn't seem bothered by it. He still has a very healthy appetite and seems playful. I will follow-up with our vet but wanted an opinion being it's the weekend. Thanks in advance.

It has the appearance of a sebaceous cyst or mass, however without a physical exam this cannot be confirmed. Monitor for rapid change or growth, discharge or discomfort associated with the lump. Place an e-collar (cone) on SP if he is able to lick or chew the area. Following up with your veterinarian next week is a good idea if you have any additional concerns.
