My cat has a strange mark. Is it a wound? Can he wait for the vet?

What is this mark on my cat? I asked about this earlier but I was finally able to get a better look at it and it doesn’t look good. There is something in the lower L corner and I am not sure what it is. Please zoom in. We can’t get a vet appointment until Wednesday and I wanted to know if he will be fine until then. Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered

This looks like a small wound, or maybe an insect bite that is irritated. The skin around it looks clean and healthy. As long as he seems his normal self right now, he should be fine until he's seen on Wednesday. If he does feel sick or if the area gets worse try to get him seen sooner.
