My cat has dandruff and brown spots on her fur. Is this normal?

What could this be? Just dry skin? Was petting my cat today and noticed she had some dandruff/ dry skin. It looks like the end of her hair follicles have brown spots at the end? is this normal? Her behaviour is normal and not itchy at all. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 years and 1 month old | 8 lbs

These signs may be compatible with excess sebum and comedone formation which can predispose to secondary infection (there are no signs of infection at the moment). Mild chlorhexidine washes may be beneficial in these cases. Please contact your local veterinarian for specific products.
